Perm: Healthcare Integration Application Engineer Western Massachusetts

Healthcare Integration Application Engineer – Western Massachusetts - Our Client is looking for a Healthcare Integration Application Engineer to join their team in building a Healthcare Information Exchange (HIE).

The Ideal candidate will have recent InterSystems HealthShare experience and/ or very strong InterSystems Ensemble experience.  Candidates with Healthcare Integration and strong Object Oriented Programming experience will be considered. Preferred knowledge of technologies such as: Health Information Exchange profiles and standards, HITSP standards, SOA 12.

Responsibilities include:

·          Support the integration and development of health information exchanges between EMRs for a strategic exchange initiative.

·          Collaborate with internal and external practices to establish operational standards.

Contract: Remote: Software Quality Assurance Engineer Remote

VA VistA Software Quality Assurance Engineer – Remote – Our client is looking for a Mid-Level Software Quality Assurance Engineer for a 6 month, remote contract position. MUST have VA VistA experience.  Will be responsible for all quality assurance activities, including testing, throughout the software development life cycle. This includes Quality Assurance activities performed during requirements and design phases to include use and test cases and Quality Control activities performed during development, testing and sustainment phases. The SQA Engineer will work within a small team comprised of developers, technical writer/business analyst, and customers in a fast-paced environment to implement and execute test strategies and confirm coding components.

Primary Responsibilities

·         Develop a test strategy based on the project requirements and schedule

·         Design, develop, and execute detail oriented test scripts and test cases using test plans and project requirements

·         Report and document defects found in testing promptly, and accurately, using standard defect tracking tools

·         Report test progress against schedules (planning and execution)

·         Provide a test summary report that reflects the quality attributes of the software under test

·         Communicate with development, project management, and customer stakeholders as necessary

·         Perform both new functionality and regression tests; identify, analyze and report issues for follow-up

·         Ensure the integrity of test material

·         Work with other team members to monitor and improve quality processes

·         Work to capture best practices and refine SQA across other projects, as needed

·         Other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned

Requirements and Professional Qualifications:

·         MUST HAVE experience and skills working within VA and VistA

·         Must be eligible to work in U.S. without sponsorship

·         Five or more years of SQA experience in a professional software development environment

·         Strong experience and skill with software test tools, including defect tracking software

·         Ability to identify and recommend additional innovative SQA methods across emerging technologies projects, such as web, mobile and middleware (API)

·         Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills, and strong ability to understand business process flow

·         Ability to identify testable statements contained in requirements and specifications documents and devise and run appropriate tests, and have a strong record of accomplishment as a software defect finder/reporter.

·         A positive, quality-oriented, reliable, well organized, and flexible individual with an ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

·         Experience with Business and QA Testing Process Models

 Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
